I haven't seen Episode III yet, but I noticed the Main-Seamy Media have made great hay out of the fact that, if you stretch and pull it like Silly Putty™ and squint your ears just right, it exactly parallels the current situation of Darth Bush in Iraq.
The key bit of evidence is the line wherein the Darth Dubya character, as he consolidates his hold on power, claims that those who aren't with him are against him.
Well, it does make for good drama.
Pay attention very closely my friends. Let's give the moonbats and the Michael Moore Apostolate the Karl Rove/Darth Vader parallel. Give it to them on a silver platter - here... and with cheese fries, stuporsized at no extra cost. Ketchup? Have a vat. Napkins? No? - silly me.
OK you moonbats, if Bush is the evil emperor and leash-holder of Darth Rumsfeld in your long ago, far away galaxy, then I guess that means the Islamofacists are the pure-as-the-Hothian-snow, underdog Rebel Al L'iance. Would that be who you're rooting for or are you just rooting for the extra-crispy cheese-fries in the bottom of that cardboard bowl? Yeah, and that makes a hero out of Obi-Sadaam Kenobi, who uses The (new and improved) Force™ laundry soap on his J'di robes (Q'leen's the Shiite out of 'em!).
That sound you're hearing is Darthess Streisand, battily howling at the moon.
Idjits.
I don't see how they can draw a comparison. Bush is a MUCH better speaker than Hayden Christensen. And that's saying a LOT.

Everyone knows that the Galactic Civil War was all about the oil; Palpatine lied, people died; and the separatists may have flown those star cruisers into the Jedi Temple but Palpatine didn't read intelligence reports from the Valorum Administration that said such attacks were inevitable. The parallels are uncanny.

Hmm, I had more of a Palpatine/Karl Rove parallel going. After all, he's the one who's really running the country.

M'sostupid... don't know why I said Ashcroft:

Reno = Chewbacca
